This page contains brief descriptions and links to additional tools and visualizations created by scholars and programmers during the Comédie-Française Registers Project (CFRP) international conferences in Paris (December 2015) and Cambridge MA (May 2016).

Four Perspectives on the Comédie-Française Repertory

Derek Miller developed several visualizations based on the CFRP data at the May 2016 Cambridge MA conference. They can be found, along with his analysis, in his essay “Four Perspectives on the Comédie-Française Repertoire.”

Theater Heat Map - 1784-1785 Season

In May 2016 Christophe Schuwey and Christopher Morse created a theater heat map that shows the relative ticket sales for each sector of the theater during the 1784-1785 theater season at the Comédie-Française. Access the heat map here, and their essay, entitled “Visualizing Theater History” here.

This visualization was created by Raphaëlle Lapôtre (Bibliothèque nationale de France) for the May 2016 Cambridge MA conference. Raphaëlle has also written an essay in French, "Visualiser les données des registres de la Comédie-Française," which explains the concept and design of the visualization.
